Lashes After Care:
- Avoid water. During your first 24hrs, please do not have any water on your lashes, they need time to settle down.
- Please avoid using any sort of makeup tools such as mascara wand or eyelash curler
- Please use oil free makeup removers, moisturizer. If your product contains oil in it, it will compromise the bonding agend used to stick your lashses.
- While showering, we highly recommend swimming goggles.
- If there is any issue, you may contact us and we will see what we can do for you. You must contact us within 24hrs of your appointment
FAQ
Ensure you don’t get lash extension wet for 24 hours after application, after that they will be waterproof. Don’t use waterproof mascara or oil-based products to protect the adhesive from breaking down. Avoid excessively rubbing your eyes and don’t pull at your lashes. Be sure to use a water-based makeup remover. If you’re a side sleeper, try to avoid rubbing your eyes too aggressively on your pillow while sleeping.
This is a common misconception when it comes to eyelash extensions. Natural eyelash shed overtime as part of the natural growth cycle. Sometimes you may see an eyelash extension fall out with a natural lash attached. This is normal and part of the natural growth cycle. When lash extensions are applied properly, you won’t see any damage to your natural lashes.
Eyelash extensions can last up to 6 weeks when properly cared for. However they are no longer full at 6 weeks. Therefore fill are recommended to keep your lashes full. The extensions will shed with the natural growth cycle of your own lashes. If you choose to get touch-ups in between they will last as long as you continue to fill them in.
Yes, it must however only be water based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara. Only use a water based eye makeup remover. At Urban Brows we sells a volumizing water based mascara and oil free makeup remover.
You will lie comfortably on our leather chaise lounge with your eyes closed. The Eyelash professional will then apply an under eye gel pad to cover your lower lashes. The extensions will then be applied to each individual eyelash with a specially designed bonding agent.
Yes, Urban Brows eyelash extensions products are completely safe and will not damage your natural lashes when applied using the correct technique. As with any beauty treatment we recommend that you use a professional trained and certified eyelash extension technician as application by an uncertified technician, or use of inferior quality products, may result in damage to your natural lashes.
