How to train eyebrows to grow in the right direction

How to train your eyebrows to grow in one direction

We have had many of our clients come to us frustrated, asking us, “How do I change the direction of my brow hair”. After receiving so many inquiries, we decided to study in detail the possibility of training our eyebrows to grow in the right direction. While it seems highly possible when we think about it, we hate to break it to you – we cannot actually train our eyebrows to grow in the right direction, but there are some neat tricks to make them appear nicer.

Despite the biological limitation we encounter here, it is easy for us to maintain our eyebrows to get it in the direction we want. With that, let us talk about why we cannot train our eyebrows to grow in the right direction, and what we can do to change the direction of our brow hair.

Why does your eyebrow hair grow in a certain direction?

Let us compare between brow hair and the hair on your head. You probably would have noticed that the hair on your head grows in a single direction. This occurs as the hair follicles on your head are all at a certain angle to the surface of your skin, which allows them to grow forward and perpendicular to your face.

Similarly, eyebrows can only grow downwards, or in any direction, if your genes define them. Unless you can change your genes somehow, it is, unfortunately, impossible to change the direction of your eyebrows.

What to do if your eyebrow hair direction is not the right way?

While we cannot train our eyebrows to grow in the right direction, we can maintain our eyebrows in the shape we want. There are numerous ways for you to keep your brow hair looking neat.

With the right tools, you can easily maintain the shape of your eyebrows at home. If you have downward-growing eyebrows, the best way to keep them in place is to use an eyebrow pencil or gel. On top of that, you can thread out any stray hairs that are growing in the wrong direction – to learn more, check out our post on eyebrow threading

You can also check out brow lamination, brow lamination is essentially perming for your brows that makes your eyebrows soft so they can be comb in a certain direction that you want.

However, some of you might get a little too excited when threading out stray brow hairs, and eventually find that your eyebrows are thinning out.  Or you notice that your eyebrows are not thick or strong enough for brow lamination. Well, worry not, we have a solution for that.  You need to essentially grow out your eyebrows, and you should try out an eyebrow growth serum to help you grow out your eyebrows. You can easily shape thicker eyebrows by brushing your brow hair in a particular direction with a spoolie. A simple way to have perfect eyebrows!

With clean and effective ingredients, the serum can help to naturally stimulate the growth of your brow hair and moisturise them. As such, you need not worry about your eyebrows thinning as you pluck away the stray hair
